What can I expect from the procedure?
The skin is prepared with a mild agent to remove makeup and oil. Next, a medical-grade device is used to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells and hair. The procedure is painless and you may have some mild irritation directly after the procedure. After the procedure, calming cream and sunscreen will be applied to the area being treated.
Will dermaplaning make my hair grow back thicker?
No! Your hair will not grow back thicker.
Is dermaplaning safe?
Yes! Even pregnant and breastfeeding women can safely use dermaplaning.
What are the benefits of adding dermaplanig to other treatments?
Dermaplaning helps to remove the top layer of your skin and dead skin cells to improve dullness and help products penetrate further into the skin. Dermaplaning activates fibroblasts and strengthens and reinforces the dermis. Adding dermaplaning with a skin peel will create a more pronounced exfoliation and improve fine lines and dry skin.
Who should avoid dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is not recommended for clients with active lesions or an active acne outbreak. It can however help to diminish scars from previous acne outbreaks. People with very sensitive skin or poorly controlled rosacea or keratosis pilaris may experience greater irritation after a dermaplaning treatment.
